HMC Architects’ Associate Principal/Vice President of Sustainability Eric Carbonnier, PhD, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is presenting his research on high performance nano-fluid building envelopes at the Society of Building Science Educators (SBSE) Retreat, which takes place on Tuesday, July 25 – Friday, July 28, 2017 at Silver Falls Cabin & Conference Center in Sublimity, Ore.
The 2017 retreat theme is CRAFT, which focuses on tools, strategies, resources and innovative design practices that the SBSE develops to inspire their students to create appropriate environments. According to SBSE.org, “CRAFT is purposely intended to have multiple meanings—from hands-on sculpting or construction to create powerful low-energy design projects to matching theory to actual performance.”
The retreat takes place once a year at different venues and is attended by top building science experts from around the world.
