HMC Architects’ Associate Principal/Vice President of Sustainability Eric Carbonnier, PhD, Architect, LEED AP BD+C, is presenting at Facade Tectonics 2018 World Congress on March 12, 2018. The “SKINS on Campus” theme combines networking with industry and academic leaders with a deep exploration of the building facade as the integrative factor in holistic building design.

Eric’s research explains the ability for window gaps to harness energy rather than resist energy. The program, “Transparent Generator: Tapping the Gap,” will focus on the opportunity for Nanowindows to turn vast glass facades into transparent generators to offset energy demand and reduce greenhouse gases.

The event, which takes place at USC School of Architecture in Los Angeles, will feature over 100 paper-driven presentations from more than 200 authors across 16 themed tracks.
