Our team’s tenant improvement design solutions for the Kaiser Permanente Neurosurgery/Anesthesia Clinic Remodel at Fontana Medical Center recently won a 2016 Design Award from Kaiser Permanente. The Kaiser Permanente Design Awards Program was established to recognize the contributions of Kaiser Permanente professional design consultants for projects that achieved excellence for Kaiser Permanente facilities across all regions. The award was announced during the Kaiser Southern California Preferred Provided Symposium on October 18, 2016, and the Neurosurgery/Anesthesia Clinic Remodel was one of four Kaiser Permanente projects recognized.

When hard copy medical records went digital, Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center’s basement records department fell into disuse. So, the healthcare system seized the opportunity to revitalize the subterranean space to house their Neurosurgery/Anesthesia Clinic. And since a windowless, fluorescent-lit space is less than ideal for providers, staff, and its members—we utilized Kaiser Permanente’s Total Health Environment (THE) Toolkit to design and create a nature-inspired, light-filled environment that supports Kaiser Permanente’s Total Health brand and transforms the new clinic into a shining example of powerful design. Learn more about our design solutions here //
