Quail Hill Community Center in Irvine, Calif. was recently recognized by the California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

California Park & Recreation Society Award of Excellence, Facility Design category
This award recognizes excellence in design of completed aquatic, recreation and/or cultural facilities intended for public use. This award further recognizes design and construction or significant rehabilitation of buildings, structures and facilities used primarily to support park and recreation purposes. Projects are evaluated on criteria including challenge, resourcefulness, execution, accomplishment, and mission.

U.S. Green Building Council Most Sustainable Land Plan, Landscape Design, or Open Space in Orange County Award
The award honors the accomplishments in sustainable practices and educates the Orange County public about sustainable places and businesses in the county.
