To further her passion for fostering livable communities through design excellence, Beverly founded Beverly Prior Architects (BPA) in 1986. After growing her firm to 30 people, she merged BPA with HMC in 2011, a perfect fit for Beverly and her team to continue to pursue their passion in the justice, civic, and education markets as part of HMC’s vibrant design team.

Aside from her infectious laugh and dynamic personality, Beverly is known nationally for her leadership in the justice market. Heading up HMC’s justice practice, she serves on the AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) Sustainable Justice Committee. She was the AIA San Francisco President in 2003 and the San Francisco Chair of the AIA National Convention in 2009 and currently serves on the National AIA Board of Directors.
