When he’s not racing catamarans in Mission Bay, San Diego, Bob Kain is serving as principal in charge for some of our largest medical facility projects, including the $400 million Kaiser Downey Medical Center. And though he may never lose his passion for racing on the open sea, his real focus remains rooted in building a legacy through quality design.

Bob joined HMC in 1978 and engages in many industry organizations outside of the company, including serving as a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects, a trustee of the AIACC California Architectural Foundation, a board member of the California Hospital Building Safety Board, and a member of the Board of Directors for Cal Poly Pomona’s University Educational Trust.
