As a member of HMC’s School Advisors team, Tom Cavanagh is an advocate for education, helping school districts across California to plan and secure funding for their building projects. Believing that design does have the power to affect our communities, Tom, along with the rest of the School Advisors team, understands the unique connection communities have to their schools, and he’s committed to securing their future. He has established excellent relationships with numerous State agency officials and is well respected throughout the industry.

Tom presents regularly at Coalition for Adequate School Housing (C.A.S.H.) conferences and workshops, and currently serves as a member of the C.A.S.H. Legislative Committee. A former instructor at the University of California, Riverside for the State School Facilities Program (SFP), he is also an active member of the Community Colleges Facility Coalition (CCFC) and currently serves on HMC's Board of Directors.
