A Healthcare Facility Where High-Tech Meets Home
/ / Renown Health South Meadows Diagnostic and Treatment Pavilion > Reno, NV

To reflect, reinforce, and respond to the surrounding environment, regional architectural characteristics influenced our design of the first community-based medical center in Reno in more than 20 years.

The Diagnostic and Treatment Pavilion is an outpatient surgery, imaging, laboratory and emergency services facility.

This is an addition to the assisted living and rehabilitation hospital, which is now an acute care medical center. We determined that the new addition should be a complete departure from the existing village to create its own identity as well as a statement about healthcare through architecture. The design concept “High-Tech Meets Home” is achieved through the use of color, textures, fabrics, and furniture selection. The facility radiates a warm and welcoming feeling to balance the cutting-edge medical technology.
