Orchard School District, San Jose, Calif., held its annual Friday Night Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on November 5 with assistance from volunteers at HMC Architects. The dinner, which raises funds to support educational programs for the economically challenged school district, served more than 500 spaghetti dinners to students, parents, staff, and community members who attended.

Staff members from HMC’s San Jose studio volunteered by helping with food preparation, serving dinners, and clean up.
For five years and throughout two bond programs, HMC has partnered with the Orchard School District to expand and upgrade their Pre-K-8 campus. A new gymnasium/event center, full modernizations campus-wide, and a new LEED Silver addition to the library are changing the face of Orchard School while enhancing educational opportunities for its students.
“I want to personally thank HMC for your presence, hard work, and contribution to the event,” said Joyce Shen, Business Manager for the District. “It was touching for me to see you folks sacrificing your time with your family to be here support our cause! Hats off to you and many thanks!”
