Joseph Nicola
Principal in Charge
Joseph is the principal in charge of HMC’s San Francisco Higher Education studio. His more than 40 years of experience spans a variety of award-wining and internationally recognized higher education projects including student housing, wellness centers, libraries, and theaters. Joseph believes architecture is an art, and the architect the artist that designs the shape of an environment to express the emotions of the people within.
