In celebration of Pride Month, HMC Architects’ Senior Project Architect Amy Braun, AIA, NCARB, CSI on June 28 will join a panel discussion hosted by AECOM titled “Breaking Down Barriers and Forging New Frontiers.” She and a panel of four icons of LGBTQ+ visibility will discuss their personal and professional experiences and opportunities for further progress. Braun will be joined by sitting Los Angeles City Council Person Mike Bonin, Performer and Transgender Activist Jazzmun Nichala Crayton, and Emmy Award-winning Producer of Queer Eye David Collins to share challenges they have faced and illuminate the solutions that they have pioneered to further progress.
With 20 years of experience in the architecture industry, Braun strives to be a leading voice for inclusion in the quickly changing AEC industry as a mentor and member of HMC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. HMC is proud to be a firm that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We believe that by having the courage to be vulnerable, to take risks, to genuinely connect with others, and allow ourselves to be truly seen – we deliver our best, most innovative designs to improve the well-being of our communities.
