HMC Architects’ PreK12 Market Leader Julie Strauss and Managing Principal Teri Jamison will speak at California’s Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) 44th Annual Conference on School Facilities.
On Wednesday, February 22, Strauss and Riverside County Office of Education’s Jessica Mears will moderate “Planning and Program Management 201,” a workshop discussion designed to provide school facilities planners with the tools they need to make data-driven, cost-effective decisions about current and projected needs.
On Thursday, February 23, Teri Jamison will lead “Happiest Place on Earth: Attraction-Focused K-12 Facilities to Drive Enrollment and Engagement.” As California schools compete for fewer “customers,” districts are investing in more unique programs that engage and interest students including VAPA, CTE, and E-Sports. This workshop will explore real examples of programs at Folsom Cordova USD and Santa Ana USD and how students have responded.
CASH provides advocacy, leadership development, educational opportunities, and resources for those working in the school facilities industry. The Annual Conference on School Facilities is the organization’s premier event and draws more than 2,000 school facility professionals from around the state. This year’s conference will be held February 22-24 at the Sacramento SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, California.
