The American Architecture Awards is a distinguished honor presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, celebrating the world’s best new buildings.
Four HMC projects—Resilient Roots Community Center, Del Oro High School, Cuyamaca College Student Services and Administration Complex, and Yucca Valley Aquatics Center—have been acknowledged as exemplary endeavors, with the latter receiving an honorable mention. This achievement marks the 30th year of this renowned accolade, standing as the nation’s highest and most distinguished program for building awards, showcasing cutting-edge designs across the U.S.
The discerning jury for the American Architecture Awards 2024, featuring esteemed designers Tapio Anttila, Pip Tompkin, Todd Dalland, Paul Flowers, Oliver Gerstheimer, Luke Pearson, Yorgo Lykouria, and Mitchell Joachim, recognized HMC among the 150 winners selected from a shortlist of 500.
