The recent wildfires and heavy winds in Los Angeles have brought immense challenges to our community. At HMC Architects, we believe in the power of collective action to support those in need during difficult times.

Here’s how we’re making an impact and how you can join us:

How You Can Help

1. Double Your Donation

HMC’s Designing Futures Foundation (DFF) is matching employee donations 1:1 to these incredible organizations:

California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund

California Fire Foundation

American Red Cross

Baby2Baby

Habitat for Humanity of Greater LA

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

Pasadena Community Foundation Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund

Pasadena Humane

United Way of Greater LA

World Central Kitchen

2. Volunteer Locally
Sign up for a shift at the LA Regional Food Bank to help distribute food and essential supplies. Your time can make an immediate difference for neighbors in need.

3. Check-In on One Another
Sometimes, a call or message can provide more comfort than you imagine. Reach out to those affected to offer support and connection.

4. Access Free Temporary Housing
Airbnb is offering free stays for those displaced by the wildfires. If you or someone you know needs temporary housing, visit Airbnb’s emergency housing page to learn more and find a safe place to stay.

Our Commitment
HMC’s DFF is donating $5,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, supporting the firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect our communities.

For Those Directly Impacted
If you’ve been evacuated or are facing challenges, we’re here for you. Please prioritize your safety, take the necessary time, and connect with your manager or HR for support.

Let’s Make a Difference
At HMC, we’re proud to stand as one community. Through donations, volunteering, and compassion, we can amplify our impact and help our neighbors during this critical time.

Please join us in supporting our community and showing the strength of togetherness. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
