Design Leader Hahn Lee recently graduated from the International Interior Design Association’s (IIDA) Emerging Leader Program.

Hahn believed that leadership requires intentional learning beyond day-to-day project work. This eleven-month program provided comprehensive, interdisciplinary seminars and perspectives ranging from business development and real estate fundamentals to personal leadership style and professional presence. Equally meaningful to him was the network it fostered. He said, “I am now deeply connected to designers, vendors, and peers across the industry, and I move through professional spaces with a strong sense of community and connection.”

As a design leader in HMC’s interior design studio, Hahn has been a vital team member on some of the firm’s biggest projects including Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. “Its scale and complexity have provided an intensive, hands-on education in both the design and technical demands of healthcare environments,” he said. Another significant project is Cedar Hall, one of his first projects at HMC, where he was able to learn each step of the design and construction process.

Completing this program is a testament to his dedication, growth, and commitment to staying connected to the industry as he continues to advance his career. Congratulations Hahn!
