HMC Architects’ Dennis Valencia is now a licensed architect. This accomplishment reflects years of dedication, rigorous testing, and an unwavering commitment to the profession.

Achieving licensure has been a tremendous journey and a long-standing career goal. From early on, Dennis always envisioned the point where his education, experience, project work, and professional growth would come together in becoming a licensed architect. That vision served as a constant source of motivation throughout his career.

“Becoming licensed felt like completing the missing piece of the puzzle,” he said. “Equally important was the support and sacrifices of my family, who encouraged me every step of the way. Earning my license gave me the opportunity to set an example for my children by demonstrating the value of perseverance, hard work, and seeing a goal through to completion.”

In his time as a Job Captain in HMC’s Ontario studio, Dennis has helped shape several large-scale healthcare projects across Southern California, supporting project teams from concept through development and contributing to environments that thoughtfully reflect the needs of clients, patients, and communities.
