Managing Principal
As managing principal of HMC's Portland office, Joe leads education design and historic restoration projects that foster pride and community—especially in PreK-12 schools. He has helped shape a culture rooted in collaboration, innovative and equitable design, and client-focused solutions. Joe is highly experienced in stakeholder and student engagement, ensuring inclusive and meaningful project outcomes. He actively supports the broader A/E/C industry through leadership in the Association for Learning Environments, Oregon, and SW Washington chapter. Joe is passionate about creating learning environments that reflect and elevate the communities they serve.
