HMC Architects’ PreK-12 Principal in Charge Angel Hosband recently received her Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) designation with the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE).
The ALEP credential program develops the core competencies needed to be an educational planner. The year-long program provides course instruction from industry experts in educational visioning, community engagement, pre-design planning, learning environment design, implementation, project management/ project delivery, assessment of the school facility, and ethics/professionalism.
“To be ALEP certified means you’ve become a trusted expert in designing learning spaces, like schools, that are not only beautiful but also truly help students and teachers thrive,” said Angel.
From modernizations to new construction, HMC positively impacts learning spaces to influence student engagement, well-being, and academic performance, and our project teams consistently deliver quality, innovative, and sensible designs for our clients (district, students, staff, and their community). Angel’s certification underscores HMC’s mission and commitment to creating spaces that feel like homes for learning, not just structures with classrooms.
“I am proud to have earned this designation and bring our clients peace of mind that their learning environments will be a great investment for their communities for years to come.”
