Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Santa Clarita will be getting a six-story, 160,000 square foot patient tower addition, hospital officials said Thursday. The level ll trauma center facility was originally built in 1975, and is in need of more beds, said John Schleif, chief operating officer for Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
“We have been overfull for the last week or two,” said Schleif. “This tower will increase our bed capacity from 238 to 350.”
The hospital is partnering with a commercial building company, Bernards, and HMC Architects.
