This year, HMC Architects reached a big milestone with our 85th Anniversary, celebrating the occasion with a day-long firmwide gathering on historic Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California. It was a memorable occasion with some 300-plus employee-owners in attendance. The day featured an inspiring presentation by CEO Brian Staton, a luncheon at the historic Catalina Casino, and a tour of the waterfront under blue skies and coastal breezes.

HMC Architects, a 100-percent employee-owned company, was founded in 1940 to positively impact our communities after World War II. The firm has grown to seven offices across California, Washington, and Oregon, delivering award-winning and meaningful public architectural projects in the areas of education, healthcare, and civic infrastructure.
