Earning her architectural license has been a dream of Kally’s for a long time, but becoming a mom made it even more important. Kally says that it was important to finish her licensing journey not only for herself, but for her 14-month-old daughter. “She was my biggest motivation every step of the way,” said Kally. “I wanted her to see what it looks like to keep going even when things are hard, to work toward something that matters, and to believe in yourself even when the road feels long.” This license represents years of learning, growth, and sacrifice for Kally and is the foundation for everything she hopes to build next.
Kally is a project coordinator in HMC’s Ontario office, working primarily on PreK-12 projects, including some very meaningful work with Kern High School District and Ontario-Montclair School District. She is currently working on East Bakersfield High School’s new student store and several Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)-funded improvements and campus modernizations within the Kern High School District and the Ontario-Montclair School District. She says, “Being able to create spaces that support students and educators is something I’m really proud of.”
Congratulations Kally!
