Nicolas Garcia is now a licensed architect!
Nicolas’s journey to becoming a licensed architect started when he was 10 years old. Since then, he knew he wanted to practice in the industry and promised himself that one day he would become licensed. As he built his family and became a role model at home, this developed into a promise to also do this for his family. “This accomplishment is a culmination of all of the years of education, mentorship, studying for exams, and support from family, and I am proud to say I have now fulfilled that promise,” he said.
As a project manager in HMC’s Ontario studio, Nicolas has contributed to several of the firm’s most impactful education projects. He says, “Among the many projects I’ve been a part of, it’s the most complex ones that stand out and that I am ultimately most proud of.” He counts his time working on a campus-wide renovation at Malibu High School – including a new signature administration and classroom building – as a particularly memorable and valuable opportunity and a great learning experience. He is currently a part of a great team working on a campus wide modernization at Arvin High School in Bakersfield, California, which includes multiple phases and will ultimately provide the campus with a much-needed renovation.
Please join us in congratulating Nicolas on this incredible achievement! We look forward to seeing the continued impact of his work as a licensed architect.
