On September 5, Palomar College marked the grand opening of its Football Stadium and Softball Complex with a lively ribbon-cutting ceremony in San Marcos, California. The HMC Architects design team joined students, faculty, staff, and esteemed guests to celebrate the culmination of a project years in the making.
The new facilities, which include a football stadium with artificial turf and seating for 3,500+ and a natural turf softball field with comprehensive amenities, represent a significant upgrade for Palomar College. The stadium will host its first home football game in over 70 years, and the softball field will enhance the experience for one of the state’s top programs.
The warm day was filled with joy and celebration as the community reveled in the new opportunities these facilities will bring. The ribbon-cutting signifies a new chapter for Palomar College athletics and underscores the college’s commitment to supporting and energizing its student-athletes. It was an honor to contribute to this project, and the excitement on everyone’s faces was a rewarding testament to the impact of these new facilities.
