Peter Ibrahim is now a licensed architect! As a job captain in Ontario Five studio, Peter has played a key role in several of the firm’s largest education projects. For Peter, earning his architecture license represents the culmination of a long and demanding journey through school, internships, and exams. He says, “It’s a formal acknowledgment of my dedication to the profession and the impact we have on the communities we serve. Most importantly, I can now proudly say, ‘I’m not just doing architecture; I am an architect.’”
Since joining HMC, Peter has had the opportunity to work on the new construction of a site-adapt admin building at three elementary schools in Chino, California, which has stood out as a memorable project. It was a great experience seeing the project through from design to closeout. Currently, he is working on several exciting projects, including a TK classroom building currently under construction, a gymnasium project that’s out to bid and starting construction soon, and supporting schematic design for a new middle school. Each of these projects has provided unique challenges and learning opportunities, and Peter is proud to contribute to educational environments that positively impact students and communities.
Getting licensed in California holds special meaning for Peter. He says, “I’ve been given the opportunity to live and work here, and with that comes a responsibility to serve the people of this state. It’s important to me to uphold architectural standards, protect public health and safety, and contribute to the legitimacy of architecture as a rigorous and impactful discipline.”
Congratulations Peter!
