The Los Angeles studio will be racing six paper boats in the Psomas Paper Yacht Challenge to benefit the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. In preparation for the big race, the studio organized a trial run at the Public Library fountain. The results were impressive, given the strict construction and performance requirements: boats must be made entirely of recycled paper, use only glue at the seams, and the paper cannot be treated. The boats will have to float for a minimum of 10 minutes and sail 30 feet across the City National Plaza fountain. The studio will be holding a christening celebration for our six boats on Wednesday prior to racing against the 100 other boats by other local design firms and businesses.

Come out and watch! Races start at 5:30 p.m. this Wednesday, June 22, at City National Plaza Fountain at Flower and Fifth Streets in Downtown LA. Wish us luck! Results to follow.
