We are proud to announce that HMC Architects is once again ranked among the top Architecture and Design firms in Modern Healthcare’s 2020 Top Architecture Firms list. Over 40 companies were ranked according to their 2019 dollar volume and HMC came in at number 19.
HMC is committed to working with healthcare clients to design beautiful, efficient, and supportive healthcare facilities that improve patient outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, and to provide medical staff with spaces to better treat the sick and save lives. Recently, the firm won a Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Award of Merit for the new Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital patient tower in Valencia, California. The design of the 160,000 square-foot, six-story, 116 bed patient tower is centered on the patient experience and integrates seamlessly into the existing campus.
In addition to award-winning design work and innovative design solutions, HMC has recently embarked on an intensive research initiative to develop solutions for our healthcare clients’ most pressing concerns. The firm has recently released a series of white papers focused on COVID-19 as it relates to five main areas of Technology, Adaptability and Flexibility, Regulatory/Budgetary/Institutional Impacts, Space Needs Restructuring, and Impact to Wellness/Mental Health. The downloadable white papers—which also delve into the higher education, PreK-12, and civic markets—can be found at hmcarchitects.com/research.
