Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) celebrated the completion of Century High School’s HMC-designed modernization project. The HMC design team, district representatives, school faculty and staff, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the $17 million project.
SAUSD is modernizing its campuses to better meet today’s teaching methods and best serve its students. HMC modernized SAUSD’s Century High School’s administration, attendance, nursing, school resource officer, counseling, and college center offices, upgraded the existing library to include a student green room and broadcasting studio, and created a new maker space. We upgraded the interior spaces and replaced carpet and vinyl flooring, refinished interior walls, enhanced restrooms, doors and hardware, and upgraded HVAC, EMS controllers, and fire alarm systems.
The comprehensive modern design has transformed the campus’s support spaces to meet the needs of today’s students and gives the school a more future-focused and flexible environment to serve its students and help them reach their fullest potential.
