The American Architecture Awards is a distinguished honor presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, celebrating the world’s best new buildings.
Two HMC projects—the San Clemente Marine Safety Headquarters and the Malibu High School Classroom Library and Administrative Building—have been acknowledged as exemplary endeavors, with the latter receiving an honorable mention. This achievement marks the 28th year of this renowned accolade, standing as the nation’s highest and most distinguished program for building awards, showcasing cutting-edge designs across the U.S.
The discerning jury for the American Architecture Awards 2023, featuring esteemed architect Daniel German and renowned designers Kibok Song, Karim Rashid, Stephen Hertzog, and Luke Pearson, recognized HMC among the 150 winners from an impressive shortlist of 450 exceptional entries.
The Awards Gala Ceremony, hosted by The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at The Arts Club of Chicago. This gala will be an evening dedicated to honoring the winning projects and the architects, clients, and developers who have significantly contributed to the American architectural landscape.
