Ric Mangum, AIA, joins HMC Architects as regional managing principal for the firm’s Northern California offices (San Jose, Sacramento, and Fresno) to expand HMC’s prominence in Central California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mangum’s 38 years of architecture experience includes work as a consulting architect, principal, planner, programmer, and designer for complex higher education, healthcare, laboratory, technology, civic, justice and commercial development projects. Most recently, Mangum was the president and chief operating officer for tBP Architecture in Concord, California.
According to HMC President and CEO Randy Peterson, FAIA, LEED® AP, “Ric is an experienced team builder with excellent design, communication, marketing, and management skills. He has a history of providing outstanding service to his clients, and as a result, he has developed superb client relationships.”
Mangum is currently working on building client relationships for the firm’s community college and healthcare practices. His recent experience includes student centers, libraries, and science facilities for the University of California, California State University, and several community college districts.
