HMC Principal-in-Charge Jennifer Huang graduated from the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) School Facilities Leadership Academy. This immersive, year-long certification program brings together school district leaders and professionals from across educational facility design and construction.

Jennifer was selected from her fifty-four-person class to deliver the graduation keynote address at the CASH annual conference in Sacramento. In her remarks, she reflected on the program’s mentorship, the rigor of the work, and the sense of camaraderie among her fellow graduates. Jennifer’s address preceded remarks by California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, who spoke to the broader role of the CASH Academy in supporting California’s public education mission.
The CASH School Facilities Leadership Academy was established to allow tomorrow’s school facilities leaders to learn from today’s experts, emphasizing leadership, management, collaboration, technical competence, and the political context of this work. The program provides school facilities professionals with the tools to succeed across all areas of planning, design, and construction. To learn more, visit the SFLA webpage.
Jennifer brings nearly two decades of experience in educational design to her role as principal-in-charge, having led a broad range of projects of all sizes, including campus modernizations and new construction. Jennifer’s hands-on approach and close collaboration with her clients ensure consistency, clear communication, and seamless project completion. She has successfully delivered major projects across the Sacramento region and the Central Valley, including current work on a ground-up TK-6 campus for Lodi Unified School District (USD), Gantner Elementary School, and a new gymnasium at Weber Institute of Applied Sciences & Technology in the Stockton USD.
Congratulations Jennifer!
