Kim Young has officially become a licensed architect in the state of Washington! This milestone marks a significant achievement in her professional journey and reflects her dedication to the field of architecture and our clients.
Kim is an associate principal in Seattle, Washington, and has demonstrated thoughtful design, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach that has contributed to the success of projects across the Pacific Northwest. In her time at Bassetti Architects, A Design Studio of HMC Architects, Kim has consistently shown a passion for creating meaningful spaces and delivering exceptional service to our clients. As she closes out work on Evergreen High School – a mass timber comprehensive high school in Seattle, she is most proud of the impacts the school has seen in the last year. “They have seen increased attendance, dramatic improvements in academic outcomes, increased involvement in after-school activities, and watched the school transform into a community gathering space,” she said. “This is exactly why I love doing this work: our design can serve as a real catalyst for positive change.”
Licensure represents more than a professional credential, it is a testament to the knowledge, responsibility, and leadership required to shape the built environment. We look forward to seeing Kim’s continued growth as a licensed architect and the many contributions she will continue to make to our clients, communities, and the profession.
Congratulations, on reaching this exciting career milestone!
