With loving hearts, talented hands and lots of great craft materials, our Ontario studio partnered with HandsOn Inland Empire/Inland Empire United Way to make colorful handmade cards for children receiving treatment at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and Pomona Valley Hospital. Many of the children at these hospitals are undergoing arduous treatments with long recovery periods. Each day the children receive a handmade card with their lunch to cheer them up.
More than 40 HMC colleagues met during their lunch hour to create 93 stunning mini masterpieces for the children, and staff even brought in additional craft supplies to share. For more information about the Cards for Kids program and other volunteer opportunities, visit HandsOn Inland Empire.
