HMC Architects’ Senior Designer James Sink, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C, is presenting at the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I) Conference on Monday, July 9, 2018. James will be joined by Megan M. Stang, Ed. D., Executive Director, University Housing Services at California Polytechnic University (Cal Poly), Pomona.
Over a five-year deferral of construction commencement to build replacement residence halls and a dining commons that were constructed in the 1960s, the team was faced with a series of unexpected challenges and delays. The program, Lessons Learned in Communication During Campus Projects, will outline the current housing portfolio offered at Cal Poly Pomona and what steps were taken to start the project after changes in administration, site, design, and delivery method.
The conference, which takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo., is ACUHO-I’s largest event and brings together campus housing professionals from around the globe for four days of invigorating speakers, engaging educational sessions, and invaluable networking opportunities.
