The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new classroom building at Robert Heideman Elementary School in Tustin, Calif. on July 18, 2017. The HMC team was in attendance to honor the occasion. Among the attendees were HMC’s Julie Strauss, Angel Hosband, Leo Romero and Ryan Chang. The new 19,000-SF two-story building is designed to meet the growing needs of the TUSD. Features will include 12 classrooms, a staff workroom, restrooms, stairs and an elevator.

The design-build team of HMC Architects and Balfour Beatty Construction worked together to design the building, which is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2018.
