On June 4, Antelope Valley College (AVC) in Lancaster, California hosted a special groundbreaking ceremony for the school’s new Sage Hall. In attendance were HMC Architects’ Kristina Singiser, AVC administrators and trustees, and distinguished community officials.
Sage Hall is a 35,000 square-foot, two-story academic building that will house classrooms, offices, the school’s learning center, and a computer lab. In November 2016, Antelope Valley voters passed the $300 million Measure AV bond to fund updates, repairs, and improvements to the Antelope Valley Community College District’s infrastructure. Sage Hall will be the first major project constructed utilizing the bond’s funds.
Sage Hall will be open for the 2021-2022 school year.
