HMC Architects’ Principal in Charge Brandon Gullotti AIA, NCARB, Assoc. DBIA has completed the Design-Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) comprehensive education, training, and certification testing program to achieve the design-build industry’s designation as a nationally certified Associate Design-Build Professional.
Brandon says, “Being DBIA certified will provide more project opportunities as more community + culture markets look towards the design-build delivery method. Design-build is a more engaging and collaborative delivery method that allows us to work with contractor partners early on and learn/apply their knowledge to design.”
Brandon has over a decade of experience in community + culture and PreK-12 planning and design. He is committed to listening, interacting, and collaborating with clients to create healthy environments that respond to their needs. His approach results in spaces where users not only live, work, and play – but also thrive. Currently, he is working on the design of four large projects in Ontario, California — the Ontario Convention Center, Ontario Corporate Yard, Ontario City Services Building, and Ontario Access Center. He is excited about the significant impact these projects will have on the community where he was founded, and where many of his colleagues call home.
The DBIA is a membership organization with a mission to advocate and advance single-source project delivery within the design and construction community. This method of project delivery embraces architecture, engineering, and construction services under a single contract, thereby re-integrating the roles of designer and constructor. In addition to public- and private-sector project owners, DBIA members include practitioners from all project phases.
Congratulations Brandon!
