HMC welcomes Calvin Gee, AIA, LEED AP BD+C as a senior project manager of the firm’s civic and justice practice. With more than 27 years of experience, he is a dedicated and innovative project manager with a proven track record for efficiently managing multiple projects across all sectors. Calvin’s interpersonal communication skills make him a strong leader in developing an integrated project team and managing client expectations. He brings demonstrated experience in building public and private client relationships at state and local levels.

Prior to joining HMC, Calvin was a senior associate and project architect/manager at KMD Architects in San Francisco where he was responsible for civic, justice, academic and healthcare projects. Utilizing diverse project delivery methods, Calvin led sophisticated, multi-faceted owners and users from project visioning through design, construction and occupancy. His ability to facilitate public presentations and collaborate with community groups has made him a diverse project manager. While at KMD, some of Calvin’s notable projects include the California Dept. of Veterans Affairs’ Veterans Home, Fresno, CA; the Solano County William J. Carroll Government Center, Vacaville, CA; the Washoe County Jan Evans Juvenile Detention Center, Reno, NV; and the Sutter Health, Sutter Medical Center Campus, Sacramento, CA. Calvin joined KMD in 1999, and from 1982 to 1999 he worked as a designer and planner at Edward J. Gee & Associates in San Francisco.
Calvin holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is a dedicated architect, an active participant in the A/E/C industry and member of the AIA, American Asian Architects & Engineers, and the Urban Land Institute.
