HMC Architects is excited to once again host Metropolis magazine for a virtual Think Tank Thursday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. EST. HMC Senior Project Designer Jon Richardson and Project Manager Samantha Eklund are joined by Glendale Community College Director of Facilities Joel Peterson as they discuss the topic: “Designing For Gen-Z and Beyond.”
The post-Millennial generation, known as Gen-Z, is more racially and ethnically diverse than previous generations, has experienced more environmental and social unrest, and is far more technologically fluent. All of these factors have shaped their characteristics, wants, and needs. With the first wave of this generation already in universities and workplaces, this Think Tank—moderated by Metropolis Executive Editor Sam Lubell—will explore how Gen-Z will impact the design of the modern office and university, including new approaches to mobility, flexibility, sustainability, tech, and community.
