Kirk Rose, AIA, has been promoted to managing principal of HMC Architects’ Los Angeles studio. In his new role, he will oversee projects and firm operations for the office, while building HMC’s presence in the Los Angeles marketplace. Since he joined the firm in January 2010, Rose has played a vital leadership role at HMC, embracing the culture of collaboration and open dialogue.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the Los Angeles studio as managing principal,” says Rose. “I look forward to promoting a collaborative, client-focused studio in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.”
Rose, who has more than 25 years of experience in architecture, specializes in healthcare facility planning and design, as well as science, education, and large-scale public projects. He was a former vice president and office leader at SmithGroup and vice president and operations director at HOK. Rose is currently working on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center In-Patient Hospital and Multi-Ambulatory Care Center project and is also serving as principal in charge for the renovation of the Doheny Eye Institute at University of Southern California.
