HMC Architects is again counted among the top construction and design firms in Modern Healthcare’s 2024 Construction & Design survey. Over 100 construction and design firms were evaluated based on their total construction cost of healthcare projects completed in 2023, and among 46 architecture firms, HMC ranked 23.

The design-build team of Hensel Phelps | HMC Architects | CO Architects was selected to lead the design and construction of a new Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Program and recently celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking of its hospital building. Scheduled for completion in the spring of 2028, the new Harbor-UCLA Medical Center will meet the growing demands of healthcare delivery and ensure structural resilience in compliance with Senate Bill 1953, which is set to take effect in 2030. As the project unfolds, it aims to redefine the county’s healthcare landscape, providing a beacon of hope and healing for generations to come.
